Note: Formatting/layout is a current WIP. This originated as a Discord bot to calculate exact build costs. I thought it could still be useful as a web tool, even without the hyper-focused customization for skills and structures.

Hulls

Changing an option re-reads the stored list straight away. Nothing is recalculated.

Formulas

Each row is one item the site has priced for building. The list is worked out ahead of time from the site's own settings and refreshed with current prices; this page only reads it and ranks it as below.

1. Build cost of one unit

build cost = (materials + job installation fees + blueprint or invention) / units in the batch
batch = 10 runs of the item's own blueprint

Costing a batch rather than one unit is what lets invention be priced in whole attempts. The figure shown is per unit made. Haulage is not included, and no blueprint is assumed to be owned.

2. The blueprint

blueprint cost included: build cost + the price of a blueprint copy from contracts
invention cost included: invention (datacores, decryptor, attempts) + building from the invented copy
both included: whichever of the two is cheaper for that item
neither included: materials and job fees only

An item whose own blueprint has no price and cannot be invented is left out when a blueprint cost is requested.

3. Margin

margin = market value − build cost
margin % = margin / market value × 100

The market value is the Jita price of the item. Margin % is relative to what the item sells for, not to what it costs to build. Sales tax and brokerage are not deducted.

4. The ranking

sort by margin %, ISK profit or daily volume, highest first
every item that can be priced is listed

An item with no market price, no usable build cost, or a build cost under 1,000 ISK (a stray blueprint contract, not a real price) is left out, and the page says how many and which.

4. The ranking

sort by margin %, ISK profit or daily volume, highest first
the top 100 by the chosen sort are listed

An item with no market price, no usable build cost is left out, and the page says how many and which.
